We just launched your theme for a client's website, and the page load speeds are extremely slow. The site is very slow despite using image optimization and JS Minify plugins. The hosting company says the theme is causing the issue, not their server. We are currently using Recycle 2.1 Theme.
Are there any issues with your theme loading very slowly or specific plugins that are compatible with your theme to increase the page load speeds?
Optimization plugins work with Recycle theme. They just need to be set up correctly.
My recommendation regarding setting up optimization plugins is to exclude jQuery from optimization and make sure it loads in the header. The reason for this is that there are a lot of jQuery dependent scripts and if jQuery loads late, all other scripts wait for execution until it is loaded.
