Hi! I have my client purchase the Dentalia theme years ago along with a child theme for the company and I recently updated the website and the dentalia plugin keeps on sending critical error once I activate it. I hope you could help me find a way to fix this thanks
The site is using an outdated theme version, which is not compatible with the latest WordPress and latest plugin.
Please download the latest Dentalia version 2.2 from ThemeForest and update the theme. Then install the latest version of the plugin (it will ask automatically to install it). When everything is up to date, go to Theme Options and rebuild them (this will read your old settings and update everything as needed) .
Also update PHP on the server, to version 7.4 if it is outdated.
Version 2.2 of Dentalia plugin is not compatible with the 1.2 Dentalia theme. The versions need to match. WordPress has changed a lot in the last couple of years and the theme update is needed for WP ver 6 compatibility. The only viable way to resolve the issue is to update the theme.
It would be best to ask the client to download from ThemeForest for you. If they forgot their login credentials, they can retrieve them with their email.
I am not allowed to send the theme files to you, as much as I would like to see this issue resolved in a fast and most simple way possible. I am obliged to respect the Envato Author agreement for exclusive authors.
I've had to recently update my Wordpress version, along with updating Dentalia to version 2.2. In doing so, I've also updated my PHP to 7.4. I followed the instructions from this post here (https://orionthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/3067471/)
When I updated - majority of my front-end is not showing on the website, with a bunch of missing widgets etc (all the builds seem to still be there, just nothing showing).
I'm having trouble accessing the "Theme Options and rebuild" sections on Wordpress as I can't find these options anywhere.
Could I please get assistance on this ASAP, as my clients website is now un-usable.
Please make sure that both, the Dentalia theme (info in Appearance -> Themes) and Dentalia plugin (info in Plugins) are up to date (version 2.2).
If you are still experiencing issues after that, you can try to delete the Dentalia plugin entirely and reinstall it (you will see a notfication to install it)
If the issue still isn't resolved, after everything is updated, please open a separate ticket with link to the website and a login credentials if needed (privately), so we can investigate the issue.
Thank you so much for your assistance and prompt reply - majority of the website seems to be back up after deleting + re-installing the plug-in.
The only thing that seems to be missing that didn't come across is the section just below the navigation menu - the opening hours, address, phone number section. Is there a specific name for this widget that I can search up and re-activate? Or do I have to rebuild this part from scratch?
Please check your Theme Options -> Header to make sure the Header Widget area is turned on.
If it's active, but the content is missing, then go to Appearance -> Widgets and look for "Inactive Widgets".
a) If the @Orion Icon With Text widget is there, then drag&drop it inside the Classic header widget area. This should resolve the issue.
b) If Inactive widgets are empty, then you will need to rebuild this section with the @Orion Icon With Text widget. Here are the settings used in the demo:

I hope this helps.
