Personally I haven't come by any such error yet. Your issue report is the first of this kind. But when I googled the issue, I see that is not so uncommon with WordPress 5.2. It is possible that server runs out of resources and fails to fully update the plugin/theme and then this error is triggered.
This can be solved on the server, by renaming the plugin (or theme) folder to disable it. Then reinstall it again. If you are sure that the theme update (not one of the plugins) caused this, you can rename the theme, then unzip a fresh version of the theme (download it from themeforest) into wp-content/themes/ folder.
