Firstly, I am loving this theme. I've been really impressed with it and all that it does.
However, my website is very slow to load. I've done a bit of research and installed some plug-ins, but unfortunately I haven't had much luck. It takes about 16 seconds for my homepage to load.
It seems that there is something wrong with the server configuration.
The reason I think this is that in your case it takes more than 7 seconds for the server just to respond to the initial request. - This is before any of the website files are loaded.
To compare, the same happens in just 300 milliseconds on our demo:
And we have just a standard (inexpensive) hosting package.
It seems to me that it isn't the theme or even WordPress to blame for the slow page load as the delay is already in the initial server response. To me it seems that something must be wrong with the server configuration and this sadly can't be resolved from WordPress dashboard.
Contact your hosting provider and ask them to help you resolve this issue. Also make sure the php is at least version 7.x and that database is up to date.
