    Hello,
    I have the Dentalia theme for my website that a Developer is helping me create. We will need to create a shop or store within the site.  Is the theme currently compatible with WooCommerce?  If not, when will WooCommerce be available with the next update?  We need to start creating our store now and we don't know what to do.

    Thanks for your information on how we should proceed.

    Hi Denise,

    Currently we have a working Dentalia beta version available, with WooCommerce integration.
    All the WooCommerce features should work, and the cart is well integrated into the theme itself.

    About the Dentalia official update delay:
    There is a big release of WordPress 5 on the way, along with the new Gutenberg editor. We want Dentalia to be ready for WP version 5 too. So we'll wait at least for WordPress 5 release candidate, to test it on the new version. Then we'll release the official update. It will include WooCommerce.

    I will make sure you get access to the beta version, if you have any questions or need any further support on setting up the WooCommerce, let us know.

    Thank you, Andrej, for your quick response.  How do I get access to the beta version?  Our free-lance developer bought the theme and we will probably have someone else create the WooCommerce store for us.  How do we proceed?

    Also, what happens after the beta version when it become available? Do we need to do another update to Dentail to get the final version that is not in beta-testing form?

    Thanks for your advice on this matter.

    Thank you, Andrej!  We'll see how it works.  We'll probably start building the WooCommerce page with our free-lance developer in about 1 week and we'll install it then!  Thanks for your prompt reply!!

    Hi,
    You can safely use this version live and then upgrade it to official version. Probably not much will change regarding WooCommerce.
    Upgrading to the official version should be as easy as any other upgrade.

    Let us know how it goes, we are available for all needed support regarding the beta version and WooCommerce.

    Kind regards,
    Andrej

    Hi Andrej,
    On a similar subject, what page builders or compatible with the DENTALIA theme? We were going to try to install ELEMENTOR PRO, but someone told us it wasn't compatible.  Can you help us identify which ones are compatible? We need a more intuitive "drag and drop" system for us to be able to maintain it.

    Thanks,
    Denise

    Hi Denise,

    All our widgets and theme features are built to be used alongside SiteOrigin page builder. This is what we recommend and support. Also by our tests, SiteOrigin is the best builder out there, performance wise.

    If you are asking for alternatives, Elementor and Beaver Builder should also work, but you will need to keep the SiteOrigin Widget bundle activated.

    You can try the free version of the Elementor first, then switch to the pro version if you feel satisfied with it.

    Some theme features will sadly not work in other builders, like section separators, and other features built into the builder itself.

    Kind regards,
    Andrej

    Hi Andrej,
    I have another question (as we are still building the site with the Dentalia Theme). What table plug-in is recommended to work best with the Site Origin page builder and that is also responsive for mobile devices?   This is our test page with the table here:  http://3ac.bd6.myftpupload.com/foundation-treatment/, but if you check on a mobile device, it is not responsive.  We also need the table to be easily updated and to have hyperlinks.

    Our first developer created this table for us, but we noticed that it is made with the Tablenator plugin that seems to be used for WP Bakery (not site origin).    So, we are not sure what to do in this case and are really stumped.   What recommendation do you have for responsive tables (to use with our lengthy text and hyperlinks) with the Dentalia theme?

    Also, any recommendations as to why the site is loading so slow?   Our current developer is stumped about this.

    Thank you again for your help.

    Hi,

    I noticed there are errors appearing in the web console,  this might be a reason for a slow loading speed:

    This seems to be somehow connected to the visual composer plugin. Do not use multiple page builders on a single site. I recommend you disable all the plugins, which you are not using - including visual composer. This should significantly improve the loading speed of the site.

    Tables

    I don't have much personal experience with table plugins, I usually create tables just with HTML syntax, using <tr> for rows and <td> for cells. Your developer should be able to do this.
    The theme is built using Bootstrap library, which also supports responsive tables.

    Here is a simple example of a simple responsive HTML table:

    <div class="table-responsive">
      <table class="table">
       <tbody>
        <tr>
           <td>Row 1, column 1</td>
           <td>Row 1, column 2</td>
           <td>Row 1, column 3</td>
       </tr>
       <tr>
           <td>Row 2, column 1</td>
           <td>Row 2, column 2</td>
           <td>Row 2, column 3</td>
       </tr>
       <tr>
           <td>Row 3, column 1</td>
           <td>Row 3, column 2</td>
           <td>Row 3, column 3</td>
       </tr>
      </tbody></table>
    </div>

    Which looks like this on mobile:

    There are even some stylings available. Further reading for your developer is here: https://getbootstrap.com/docs/3.3/css/#tables

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Andrej

    Hello, Andrej or Anyone at Orion Themes:
     I have another question, but I can't find my purchase code to submit another ticket.  I am the owner of our site and our developer is helping us create a new website using the Dentalia theme and SiteOrigin theme builder.  He sent me this message...can you assist?

    "Denise,
    Kindly contact your theme support and ask for the new update documentation.  Wordpress has been updated to 5.0.0 so their page builder isn't showing up in editing page. So, kindly contact them and ask for solution. I can assist once we get this issue resolved."

    Thank you so much!!

    Hi,

    We released a WordPress 5 compatibility update of the theme. Latest version has WooCommerce support also built in. Please log in to your ThemeForest account, download the latest theme version and update the theme on your server ( or send it to your developer, to update it for you).

    A partial solution is also to install the classic editor plugin.

    Let me know how it goes.
    Kind regards,

    Andrej
