I see that the demo site has multiple pages such as "Home" as well as other pages that I may wish to keep but do not now want to have on the menu . In other words, I wish to be able to edit them now but not have the public view them on the site. How can I do this?
I suggest setting visibility to privatefor these types of pages. This way you will be able to work on them, while they remain hidden for your visitors. The setting is located on the page edit screen in the Publish panel.
To remove these pages from the main menu, navigate to Appearance -> Menus.
Make sure primary menu is selected. By clicking on a menu item, the option to remove it will appear. When you are done, save the menu.
